Lehigh Valley, Pa. — Matthew R, Sorrentino and Barbara L. Hollenbach, attorneys with Lehigh Valley law firm Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino, have been named Pennsylvania “Super Lawyers” for 2009 by Philadelphia Magazine and Law & Politics.

Matthew R. Sorrentino, managing partner and president of Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino, the Pennsylvania Office of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., serves as general counsel to Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, the region’s largest health-care provider and employer. Sorrentino currently serves on the management committee of Norris, McLaughlin and as Lehigh County Solicitor, managing a staff of 18 full- and part-time staff attorneys for the County. Sorrentino has previously been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Barbara L. Hollenbach is very active with the Northampton County Bar Association, having served as its first woman president, delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates and on the association’s Service to the Public Committee. She is involved with the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) as well, serving on the PBA’s Council on Judicial Independence. In 2008, she was elected Chair of the PBA’s Workers' Compensation Section. Hollenbach has served on the boards and has been president of numerous charitable organizations, including Quota International of Bethlehem; YWCA of Bethlehem; Family & Counseling Services of the Lehigh Valley; Northampton County Homemaker and Health Aide Service; and Girls, Inc. of Bethlehem.
Hollenbach’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation, professional liability, products liability, orphans’ court litigation and general litigation. She co-authored and co-presented the PBI Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedures manual and course in 2008, 2006, 2004, 2002 and 2000. Hollenbach was also named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2006 and 2008.
