Jeffrey S. Stewart

Jeffrey S. Stewart, a member of the firm, focuses his practice on labor and employment law.  He has taught employment law at DeSales University  and Moravian College as an adjunct professor, and has made numerous presentations and authored articles on a variety of employment issues.

He counsels and represents clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations, trials and appellate court proceedings dealing with unemployment compensation, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Title VII, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Equal Pay Act, National Labor Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Public Employee Relations Act.  Jeff has tried cases before the National Labor Relations Board, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board and the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission.

Jeff's expertise also covers labor and employment issues such as wrongful discharge, contracts, handbooks, trade secret protections, injunctions related to restrictive covenants and mass picketing, drug testing and other employee privacy issues, sexual harassment policies, union issues, and affirmative action. 

Additionally, Jeff has negotiated a number of police union contracts and has handled issues arising under civil service and the Heart & Lung Act.

Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.
