Scott Allinson, a member of the firm, specializes in commercial litigation and all aspects of business law, with special emphasis on construction law, creditors’ rights law, corporate and partnership governance, and general and complex commercial litigation.
Scott’s construction practice focuses on litigation, mechanic’s lien claims, construction defects, payment bond claims, general and subcontractor representation, and specialized litigation, arbitration and mediation concerning public construction projects.
He has also represented sports teams and ownership, and recently represented the owners of the Iowa Stars in their negotiations with the Dallas Stars, Polk County, Iowa, and Global Spectrum arena management to bring Dallas's AAA affiliate to a new 19,000 seat arena in Des Moines.
Scott is active in politics and serves on a variety of boards and committees for various charitable, economic and community organizations. He currently serves as Solicitor to the Northampton County Gaming Revenue and Economic Redevelopment Authority. He previously served for many years as solicitor to the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation and Northampton County Industrial Development Authority. Allinson also serves as solicitor to Lehigh’s Economic Advancement Project, Northampton County New Jobs Corporation, the Northeastern Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation, and the Lehigh County Industrial Development Authority. Scott serves on the Board of Directors of the Lehigh County General Purpose Authority and is a member of the President’s Council of DeSales University.
